Diwali Muhurat Trading 2024: Whatever day you are celebrating the festival of Diwali, preparations have been completed for the holiday and auspicious time of Diwali trading in the stock market. There will be a holiday in the stock market on 1st November on the festival of Diwali and information for this day has been released by all the exchanges. Diwali Muhurat trading will take place on Friday, November 1 and its time has been fixed from 6 pm to 7 pm.
Every year on Diwali, Muhurat trading is done in BSE and National Stock Exchange NSE. In the circular of BSE on October 20 itself, it was confirmed that the date of Muhurat trading on the occasion of Diwali has been fixed as November 1.
Know all the timings according to the circular issued by the Stock Exchange
- The pre-opening session will be held from 5:45 pm to 6:00 pm.
- The time of one hour special trading session i.e. Muhurta trading has been fixed from 6 pm to 7 pm.
- The block deal window will be open from 5:30 pm to 5:45 pm.
- Periodic call auction timing will be from 6:05 pm to 6:50 pm.
- According to BSE, the order entry session will close in the last 10 minutes.
- The closing session will be from 7 pm to 7.10 pm.
- Post closing period will be from 7.10 pm to 7.20 pm.

According to the Hindu calendar, the first day of the new year falls on the festival of Diwali. For the auspicious beginning of this day and good signs of prosperity and business success, special trading of one hour is done and this is called Muhurta trading. This time investors can do online trading from their homes along with the auspicious Lakshmi Puja during the beginning of Samvat 2081.
Confusion this time in the timeline of Diwali festival
This year, however, there is confusion regarding the main festival of Diwali i.e. Lakshmi Puja. Many pundits and Shastri ji have chosen 31st October as the auspicious time for the festival of Diwali and some religious scholars have asked to worship Diwali on 1st November. However, at least the stock exchange has tried to clear the confusion of the traders by making an announcement from its side, so if you also like to trade in Muhurat trading then prepare that there is Muhurat trading on 1st November.
