Divya Prabha Over Leaked Video: Divya Prabha was seen in the film ‘All We Imagine as Light’ directed by Payal Kapadia. One of her videos from this film got leaked, after which she remained in the news. Now recently Divya has broken her silence regarding this video. The actress is seen getting angry at those who leaked this video.
While talking to Onmanorama, Divya Prabha said- ‘This is very pathetic. However, even when I had signed up for the role, I was expecting such a reaction from a group of people in Kerala. We are a community that celebrates filmmakers like Yorgos Lanthimos and even actresses who won an Oscar for their work in the film. But we cannot tolerate Malayali women playing such roles.
’10 percent of those who shared the leaked video…’
Divya Prabha further said- ‘I was happy to see that there were people, especially men, who opposed this act. This shows that there is a lot of hope in the current generation. Those sharing the leaked video comprise 10% of the population and I do not understand their mentality. Malayalis were also part of the central board which approved us.
‘I don’t need to take off my clothes for fame’
The actress further said- ‘Being an actor, I do such scripts with which I am comfortable and I was completely comfortable with my character in All We Imagine as Light. Some people criticized me and said that I have done such scenes for fame and I have also been a part of critically acclaimed films. I don’t think I need to take off my clothes for fame.
