Virat Kohli’s captaincy record
In December 2014, MS Dhoni retired from Test cricket, after which the captaincy of the long format came into the hands of Virat Kohli. In Kohli’s era, an aggressive Indian team was formed and during this time he captained the Indian team in 68 Test matches, winning 40 times, losing 17 times and 11 matches ended in a draw. A few years later, Kohli was given the captaincy in all three formats.
Apart from this, while leading Team India in 95 matches, he was successful in making India victorious 65 times. Under Kohli’s captaincy, India lost 27 ODI matches and one match was tied. Kohli also captained 50 T20 matches, in which Team India was victorious in 30 matches.
