Diya said, ‘In the first 3-4 years of my career, I wore light colored lenses in all my films. It was going to laugh because I was trying my best to mold according to her beauty idea. It was also strange that despite winning the international beauty pageant, I was not comfortable about myself. Explaining the reason for this, Diya revealed, ‘When I started as an actress, I was compared to former beauty queens, especially Aishwarya Rai. Of course, at the age of 19 it was a huge praise because I was just starting. But it was also a very dangerous trend.

Diya further said, ‘Because of this, I was expected to be refined like Aishwarya and match her beauty standers. However, I soon came to know that there is no need to have your light aa and light skin to look beautiful. You can be completely beautiful than yourself.
