Delhi’s new CM Atishi: A major reshuffle has been seen in Delhi, after the resignation of Arvind Kejriwal, a woman has been given the responsibility of Delhi. Atishi, a minister in the Delhi government, will now take over the post of Chief Minister. This has been announced after the meeting of the Legislative Party in Delhi. On this occasion, we are telling you where Atishi has studied and how educated is the new CM of Delhi.
Atishi was born in the year 1981. Both her parents were professors. She was born in a Punjabi and Rajput mixed family, her father’s name is Vijay Singh and mother’s name is Tripta Vahi. Both of them were professors in Delhi University.
Journey from Delhi to Oxford
Atishi was born in Delhi and completed her early education from here. She passed her high school examination from Springdales School, Pusa Road, New Delhi. After this, she took admission in St. Stephens College, Delhi University for her bachelor’s degree. From here, Atishi got her bachelor’s degree in History.
She chose the same subject for her Masters and went to Oxford University for further studies. From here she did her Masters in History in the year 2003 and also got a Chevening scholarship.

Continuing further studies abroad
After completing her Masters in History in 2003, Atishi joined Magdalen College, Oxford in 2005. She is known as a politician, educator, political activist and Member of Parliament. From July 2015 to 17 April 2018, she worked as an education advisor to Manish Sisodia. Sisodia was then the Deputy Chief Minister.
When did you join AAP?
Atishi joined the AAP party in 2013 and played an important role in changing the education system of Delhi. She was the chief advisor to Education Minister Manish Sisodia in the Arvind Kejriwal government. After that, she took over as Education Minister.

Before joining politics, Atishi worked as an activist for a long time. She spent seven years in a small village in Madhya Pradesh. She worked for many educational initiatives ranging from organic farming. It was here that she first met the members of the Aam Aadmi Party. Before becoming a member of this party, Atishi taught History and English at Rishi Valley School in Andhra Pradesh.

According to media reports, Atishi’s net worth is Rs 1.41 crore and she has assets worth this much. On 9 March 2023, she was appointed as a cabinet minister under the Delhi government. She had the charge of Education, Women and Child Welfare, Culture, Tourism and Public Works Department. She also had additional charge of Revenue, Planning and Finance departments. Now she will become the CM.
