Deepak Chahar Reaction on MS Dhoni CSK: Chennai Super Kings has bought many of its old players in the mega auction of IPL 2025. But Deepak Chahar is one of those players on whom Chennai management bid but could not buy due to the high amount. He was bought by Mumbai Indians for Rs 9.25 crore. Now in a media interview, Deepak was asked the question of leaving Chennai and MS Dhoni, the Indian fast bowler’s statement on this is going viral.
Deepak Chahar and MS Dhoni have been seen having fun on the field many times, but now both of them will not be part of the same team. Regarding joining Mumbai Indians, Deepak said, “Whenever I talk to my brother Rahul Chahar, I say that on the basis of skill, you are playing for the team (MI) for which I should play and I am playing for that team. I am in the team (CSK) for which spinners are supported, but they could not come to Chennai, but I am going to Mumbai.
Will miss MS Dhoni…
One interesting moment of this interview was when Suresh Raina asked Deepak Chahar whether he would definitely miss MS Dhoni Bhai. Smiling, Deepak replied, “Who wouldn’t miss him?” Deepak made his IPL debut in 2016 while playing for Rising Pune Super Giants and at that time Dhoni used to play for the same team. CSK returned after serving a 2-year ban and since then Deepak had been playing under Dhoni in the Chennai team.
Deepak has taken 77 wickets in his IPL career so far after playing 81 matches. His best season was 2019 when he took 22 wickets in 17 matches while playing for CSK. CSK had traveled till the finals in IPL 2019.
