A link has been sent to the victim on WhatsApp. This link was sent in the name of playing fake KBC. As soon as the victim clicked on the link, he was asked some questions which he answered. After giving the correct answer, the fraudsters said that congratulations, you have won a Tata car. After this, the victim became very happy. After this, the criminals told that you can also take 9 lakh rupees in cash instead of the car.
After this the victim chose the cash option. Now the victim was told that he would have to pay a registration fee of Rs 1200. After this the fraudsters asked him for some more money. In doing so the victim transferred about Rs 11 lakh to the fraudsters. After this the victim came to know that he had become a victim of cyber fraud, after which he went to the police and filed a report.

- One should not click on any unknown link.
- Tempting offers should be avoided.
- Stay away from fake KBC or Tata car winning offers.
