Gautam Gambhir Bowlers era India: Indian cricket team’s head coach Gautam Gambhir has once again expressed full confidence in the bowling attack. He believes that this is the era of bowlers and batsmen will have to give up their obsessive attitude. It is the result of Gambhir’s confidence that Team India’s bowling unit was successful in taking 26 wickets of Bangladesh in the three matches of the T20 series. India’s next Test series will be against New Zealand, starting from October 16.
In the press conference before the Test series against New Zealand, Gautam Gambhir said, “This is the era of bowlers. Batsmen only work to lay the foundation of victory in the match. Batsmen will have to forget their obsessive attitude. If the team scores 1,000 runs in batting, Even then there is no guarantee that it will win. But if the bowler takes 20 wickets in the match, then there is 99 percent guarantee of the team winning.”
Batting trend in India…
Head coach Gautam Gambhir also said that there is more passion towards batting in India, but Jasprit Bumrah, Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja have worked to change this mentality. Gambhir said, “Bumrah works cleverly in Test cricket. It is a good thing that our bowlers are changing the standards of global cricket. Bumrah is the best fast bowler in the world right now, who can change the course of the match at any moment. .”
The team has so much confidence in Jasprit Bumrah that he has been made the vice-captain for the Test series against New Zealand. Bumrah is jointly at first place in terms of taking most wickets in Test matches this year. Bumrah, England’s Gus Atkinson and Sri Lanka’s Prabhat Jayasuriya have taken 38 wickets this year.
