The company has these three classic brands
Classic Legends competes with Royal Enfield in the motorcycle market. The company has acquired classic motorcycle brands like Jawa, Yezdi and BSA Motorcycles. After that, the company has successfully re-launched all the three brands in the market. The company is currently manufacturing products under all the three brands and selling them in the Indian and foreign markets. Classic Legends has the support of vehicle company Mahindra & Mahindra.
Co-founder told about the IPO plan
Classic Legends co-founder Thareeja informed ET about the IPO plan on the occasion of the launch of the new 350 Jawa 42 FJ motorcycle. He said – This is the company whose IPO should come. It will be the company with the highest value in its segment. Next year will be our first full year with all the new launches. Along with that, we will also benefit from global expansion. The year after that will be important for us. In the next 2 years, our company will be ready for IPO.
They have stake in Classic Legends
Mahindra & Mahindra has a 60 percent stake in motorcycle company Classic Legends. The remaining 40 percent stake is held by private equity firm Phi Capital and real estate developer Boman Irani. Phi Capital is Thareeja’s company. Currently, the company’s sales are very low. In July, Classic Legends sold 2,131 units. However, Thareeja claims that despite low sales, his company is on the verge of becoming profitable.
