Citadel Honey Bunny Review: In a scene of this series, KK Menon feeds burnt chicken to Varun Dhawan, similar is the condition of the audience these days. The taste has deteriorated a bit due to the content that has come these days, but this series corrects your taste. Gives you a dose of action, Varun Dhawan proves to be Singham and Samantha Lady Singham, Raj and DK together have created an amazing maze. In which there is thrill, emotion, action and a lot of entertainment.
Story
Varun Dhawan does stunts in films by becoming the body double of the hero. There he meets a struggling actress Samantha, Varun gives her a small task in which she has to keep a person engaged in her talks for 20 minutes. While doing this work, Samantha gets trapped in a different trap. It turns out that Varun is something else and then a war begins between the two agencies. It is not right to tell more about the story, just know that this is a prequel to Priyanka Chopra’s Citadel. The childhood of Priyanka’s character Nadia is shown in it.
how is the series
When this series started, I thought what is happening, sometimes it is going in flashback, sometimes in the present and sometimes somewhere else but then slowly this series starts taking you under its grip and then action, emotion and drama. You get such a dose that you enjoy it. The action is fun, the twists and turns keep you surprised. Anything happens that seems to be already known, here the hero does not always kill, gets beaten, loses, even cries and that is why you are able to connect with this series. There is no grand entry of the hero here but when it happens then it adds color. You connect with the emotion that Raj and DK have put into the little girl and your heart melts for that girl. There are a total of 6 episodes in this series and each episode is of 40 to 50 minutes. A balance of action, emotion and drama has been struck here which keeps you constantly entertained.
acting
Varun Dhawan’s work is fantastic, these days many heroes are being promoted that so and so has made an amazing entry, so and so has done amazing action, but what Varun has done here does not need promotion, it Looks like real Singham. He does action well, is perfect in emotional scenes too and his scenes with KK Menon are amazing. This series tells you why Samantha is considered a heroine of such great stature. Samantha’s presence takes this series to a different level, she does amazing action. Her scenes with her daughter are amazing, she performs actions in such a controlled manner that even big heroes fail. His screen presence seems to be of a different level. KK Menon is an amazing actor, wherever his name comes there is guarantee of good content. Here too he gives life to the character of Baba. The way he tricks everyone by feeding them burnt chicken and introducing them to his fake wife, even the audience doesn’t believe that he is lying. Child actor Kashvi Majmundar has done an amazing job in the role of little Nadia. This girl makes you emotional and also surprises you. Saqib Saleem’s work is very good, he is very settled in this role. Sikandar Kher is good, Soham Majumdar, Shivankit Parihar, Simran Bagga, everyone’s work is good, everyone is perfect in their role.
direction
The direction of Raj and DK is good, they have written this series along with Sita R Menon and they have once again shown that Raj and DK do not do anything without preparation. Here too his preparation is visible, his grip on the series is tremendous, the selection of actors is amazing. It is also good that they condensed the story into 6 episodes. Otherwise these days 8 or 9 episodes are forcefully made.
Overall, watch this series, there is no reason not to watch it.
