ABP Shikhar Sammelan 2024: Union Minister Chirag Paswan on Wednesday (July 24) spoke on topics ranging from budget to reservation and NEET paper leak at ABP News’ summit. On being asked about the budget, Chirag Paswan said that the opposition has nothing left to say, the reality is that this budget talks about giving the benefits of the country’s strengthening in the last 10 years to everyone. In this, farmers, women, middle class, everyone has been taken care of. There is no loophole in this budget, so the opposition will say anything. This budget is to take the common people forward.
Targeted the opposition regarding the budget
Chirag said that we want the opposition to give good suggestions and question our wrong policies. This should happen. We will listen to them, if the government takes into account the suggestions of the opposition then what can be better than this for democracy. Chirag Paswan said that Congress says that the government does not take everyone along, sometimes they say that they do not listen to the allies and now from yesterday they are saying that the budget has been made under pressure from allies.
On being asked about reservation, he said that the opposition scares people. It talks about ending reservation and the Constitution. The opposition has tried to harm us by spreading some wrong things and scaring us, so when we go before the people with the correct facts, the public understands. These people say that they will end reservation, how is this possible? Talking about ending reservation, ending the Constitution is just a matter of scaring people and spreading lies. On paper leak, he said that a law is going to be made on it. This is a matter that cannot be ignored at all.
On the demand of special state status for Bihar, he said that we have also made this demand, but due to the provisions Bihar is not getting this status. This provision was made in Manmohan Singh’s government. But I am happy that our state has got benefits in different categories in the budget. Even now our state is behind many states and we need handholding, so that has been taken care of in the budget.
What did Chirag say about the 2025 assembly elections?
When asked if he sees himself as the CM in 2025, Chirag Paswan said that every partner of our alliance is saying that in 2025 the alliance will go to the Bihar assembly elections with the face of Nitish Kumar. We are working with the goal of making Nitish ji the CM. Anti-government wave comes when you are unable to convey your point to the people. He also said that we will contest the 2025 assembly elections with full strength.
Chirag laughed at the question asked about his marriage and did not answer. When he was asked that there is a lot of discussion about your meeting with Kangana Ranaut in the Parliament, he said yes, I have been asked many questions about this before. It is a coincidence that we met again. There is nothing like that. I have a good conversation with her. On the question of becoming a leader from an actor, he said no I was a leader before too, if I had not become an actor, all this would not have happened. I had to become a leader, so I became that.
