Pakistan-China: In the global perspective, a lot is written and heard about the friendship between Pakistan and China. Now China is going to make another move in this series. There seems to be a way for China to give another bailout to Pakistan. It has been informed in a media report that China has expressed interest in investing one billion dollars to establish a medical city in Pakistan. For this, a Chinese business delegation has met Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari. It is believed that the Medical City will be Pakistan’s first fully integrated pharmaceutical and medical ecosystem.
Chinese investors presented framework in the meeting with Asif Ali Zardari
During the meeting with Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday, the delegation of Chinese investors presented the framework of their plan to invest one billion dollars in building the medical city. There is a plan to build this medical city in Dhabeji Economic Zone of Karachi and this economic zone is outside the largest city and finance center of Pakistan.
Successful talks between Sindh government and Chinese investors
This meeting was organized after a successful dialogue between the Sindh government of Pakistan and a group of Chinese investors. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and China’s High Commissioner also participated in it. According to the statement, President Zardari said many things about promoting deeper economic and trade cooperation between Pakistan and China.
Korangi Trade and Industry Association (KATI) has been entrusted with the responsibility of operationalizing the Dhabeji Economic Zone. KATI said in a statement that this promise made by Chinese investors is an example of the growing economic relations between the two countries.
