Rishabh Pant CSK Update: On October 31, the retention list of all the IPL teams was revealed. As expected, Delhi Capitals had released Rishabh Pant, due to which the excitement of IPL 2025 mega auction has increased. There is also a rumor in the cricket world that Chennai Super Kings may target Pant in the auction. But CSK has already emptied more than half of its purse by retaining five players. Now CSK CEO Kasi Vishwanathan has given a big statement on the subject of Pant.
Now, while discussing with former Indian cricketer Ambati Rayudu on a podcast, Kashi Vishwanathan said that CSK is trying to buy the old players again. He said, “Before preparing the retention list, we had talked to captain Ruturaj Gaikwad, MS Dhoni and coach Stephen Fleming. Our intentions are clear that only the players who have contributed to the team’s growth over the years should be retained for CSK.” Are more important.”
Will CSK target Rishabh Pant?
Kashi Vishwanathan says that he will try to buy big Indian players in the auction, but due to less money left in the purse, he may face disappointment. He said, “It was easy for us to take the decision to retain Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni, Shivam Dubey and Mathisha Pathirana. But we knew that if we went to retain these players, our purse would be quite empty. We knew that We are sure that when it comes to buying other big Indian players in the auction, we will not be able to bid very high. We will try, but I do not think we will be able to buy them.
How much money does CSK have left?
Chennai Super Kings have retained Ruturaj Gaikwad for Rs 18 crore, Mathisha Pathirana for Rs 13 crore, Shivam Dubey for Rs 12 crore, Ravindra Jadeja for Rs 18 crore and MS Dhoni being an uncapped player for Rs 4 crore. CSK has spent Rs 65 crore on these 5 players. This means that CSK has an amount of Rs 55 crore available to prepare its squad.
