Chatbot like Chatgpt is not completely free from emotions. At least a recent study says the same thing. A study at Zurich University has revealed that a difficult conversation stresses chatbott like Chatgpt. This type of conversation increases their anxiety level and then like humans, they can also be ‘calm’ through some mindful technique. Let us know what else has come out in this study.
what did the study about?
Researchers at the University of Zurich wanted to see whether the chatbots trained to interact like humans come in stress from difficult conversations. So he took a standard anxiety test on Chatgpt-4. After this, some emotional and difficult interactions were done with it. In the beginning of the Test, the score of Chatgpt was 30. This means that it was not feeling any kind of pressure. After this it was exposed to 5 different stories. After this, when the test was done, its score increased to 67. In humans, it is considered high anxiety. That is, after these 5 stories, the chatbot also got into stress.
‘Mindfulness Technic’ did work
After this stress, when the researcher gave it a selection prompts, its anxiety level came down more than one third. This means that the way a person calms himself through long breaths etc., the stress level of these chatbott can be brought down from the prompt. Researcher says that Chatbot is being used for mental health support, but if these chatbots themselves come to ‘stress’, then their answers will not be as helpful. He said that if AI chatbots are given input with negativity, then this help can give poor advice to people needed.
