Chandigarh University has become the first Indian university to launch a Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme in Applied Finance in collaboration with Price Water House Coopers (PwC), a globally leading financial advisory firm, to provide aspiring business students with real-world business opportunities.
Dr GS Brar, Registrar, Chandigarh University signed the MoU for this MBA in Applied Finance with PwC Senior Director HCM Sanjeev Parkar at Chandigarh University Campus. Pro Vice Chancellor (Administration), Chandigarh University, Professor (Dr) Devinder Singh, Registrar, Chandigarh University, Dr GS Brar and PwC India Director Krishnan Ravindran, Global School of Finance and Accounting Director Nilesh Arora were present on the occasion. With the signing of MoU with PwC, Chandigarh University has become the first Indian University to have an academic collaboration with PwC for MBA Applied Finance to meet the emerging needs of the industry and to realize the aspirations of millions of Indian students.
The curriculum of the MBA Applied Finance program has been carefully designed in collaboration with PwC. This academic program focuses beyond the existing finance programs available in the country and will open up multiple avenues for financial accounting students to achieve their goals not only locally but also globally. This comprehensive program will expand their exposure to cutting-edge topics such as financial modeling and forecasting, assurance and auditing, consulting, the rapidly evolving landscape of FinTech and analytics. At the heart of this transformational experience is a commitment to not just theoretical understanding but also practical application, ensuring that you become not only academically proficient but also industry-ready.

In this program "Centre of Excellence: The Innovation Hub" This included the inauguration of the , which aims to create a world-class centre of financial innovation and excellence that will empower individuals and organizations worldwide through finance and accounting skills development, research advancement and collaboration, as well as promote financial inclusion, sustainable finance practices and the adoption of transformative digital technology for a globally inclusive financial landscape.
This "Centre of Excellence: The Innovation Hub" The aim is to develop comprehensive finance and accounting skills development programs tailored to the needs of individuals and organizations around the world and to foster a culture of research excellence within the Centre, promoting cutting-edge research initiatives in finance, accounting and related areas. It will work closely with global academic institutions, industry partners and professional institutes to ensure the continued advancement of finance and accounting education globally.
Center of Excellence: The Innovation Hub will develop programs and initiatives to promote financial inclusion, particularly in underserved communities and regions, leveraging digital technologies and innovative financial solutions.
It will explore the use of Artificial Intelligence in accounting and finance, robotic automation through AI, instructor-led sessions, AI tools in data analysis, financial research, assurance and audit, global tax challenges and policy reforms, and engage in financial consultation and advice with experts.
