CT2025 Shoaib Akhtar Big Revelation on Hybrid Model Policy: The discussions are not stopping regarding Champions Trophy 2025, which is being hosted by Pakistan and India does not want to go to Pakistan due to security reasons. After several developments, now the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is reportedly agreeing to organize the Champions Trophy 2025 on a hybrid model with some conditions. Meanwhile, former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has made some big revelations while giving his opinion. Recently, in a video, he talked openly about the revenue, diplomacy and sportsmanship of this tournament.
Shoaib Akhtar justified Pakistan’s attitude
After the tough stance of the International Cricket Council (ICC), PCB now seems to be agreeing to the hybrid model of Champions Trophy 2025 with some conditions. Shoaib Akhtar has justified Pakistan’s attitude on this. He said, “Pakistan is getting hosting rights and revenue and it is right. But if someone refuses to play in our hosting, then we should get more revenue share. This is the right decision.”
Shoaib’s opinion on relations with India
Shoaib Akhtar not only supported the strong position of Pakistan but also stressed on maintaining good relations with India. He said, “We should show sportsmanship in the future tournaments held in India. I believe that go to India and beat them there – ‘Play in India and come back defeated there.’
Shoaib’s revelation on hybrid model
Shoaib Akhtar mentioned the hybrid model already approved by the Pakistan Cricket Board for the Champions Trophy. “I know the hybrid model was already signed,” he said. According to reports, under the hybrid model, India’s matches will be held in Dubai, while the remaining matches of the tournament will be held in Pakistan.

PCB’s stance
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi confirmed this model and said that this system should also be implemented in other tournaments to be held in India by 2031. Naqvi said, “Our aim is to ensure the victory of cricket, but it is also important to maintain the honor of Pakistan. We have presented our case strongly before the ICC and hope that every party will get equal opportunity.”
Mohsin Naqvi also said that his effort is to ensure that no decision is unilateral. He said, “Our effort is that all parties get equal benefits and the pride of Pakistan is also maintained.”
