The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a notification regarding guidelines for practical exams / internal assessment for the board examinations of 2025. This examination will start from January 1, 2025.
In the guidelines issued for schools, it has been said that the practical exams of class 12 will be taken only by external examiners appointed by the board. The biggest instruction in the guidelines for schools is to complete the syllabus on time so that students can get good time for revision.
Schools will also have to ensure that preparations for laboratories are complete and teachers taking internal exams are selected on time. The student will have to appear in the practical exam as per the scheduled time, because the board will not be given a chance to appear in the internal exam again.

It is mandatory for CBSE Board to pass theory exam along with practicals for class 10 and 12. In the SOP issued by CBSE, it has also been said that in the year 2025, the board will not appoint external examiners for the practical examinations of class 10th. Schools will have to make their own arrangements for all the necessary materials and resources, from answer books to practical exams.

Internal examinations of students who are going to participate in national/international/sports competitions should be conducted in such a way that their examination can be conducted along with other students.
