At what time in the morning do most heart attacks occur?
According to research, most heart attacks occur between 4 am and 10 am. Because at this time the secretion of some hormones like epinephrine, norepinephrine and cortisol increases. Due to which oxygen demand and blood pressure may increase. Apart from this, reduction in the level of endothelial progenitor cells can also increase the chances of heart attack. Winter mornings can further increase the risk of heart attack. Because morning cold can affect the heart health of high-risk people. That means, those who have high BP, diabetes or lung problems should take special care in the morning. Experts say that these people should avoid morning exercise or early morning walking and even if they go for a morning walk. So they should cover their ears, chest, legs and head well.
Who should not walk in the morning in winter?
We all know that heart attack occurs early in the morning and due to cold in winter season. This increases the risk of heart attack even further. All those people who are at high risk. That is, those who have a history of heart disease in their family. Those who have high blood pressure, are diabetic and have any other lung problem. They are not advised to walk (or exercise) early in the morning in winter. According to the news published in Hindustan Time, Dr. Udgeeth Dhir, Director and Head of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery (CTVS) of Fortis Memorial Research Institute, said that such people should avoid morning walk especially in winter.

If we have to go for a walk early in the morning, we have to protect ourselves from the morning cold. We should keep our hands and feet covered, that is, head, ears, hands and toes. Your chest area should be warm enough and do not start exercising without warm-up. Warm-up is most important and it is even more important in the winter season. If we do not exercise without proper warm-up and those who do are at high risk. They may suffer heart attacks and strokes in winter. The risk of heart related diseases increases in winter mornings. Blood pressure is inversely proportional to winter. The pressure increases in cold weather and as a result, our heart beats faster and needs to pump more blood which is not favorable for a person with a weak heart.
