Pat Cummins on Cameron Green And Mitchell Marsh: India’s tour of Australia is still more than three months away, but Australian players have already started playing mind games. Australian players are constantly giving statements on the Border-Gavaskar series. Meanwhile, captain Pat Cummins has now given a big statement about two of his players.
Australia’s Test captain Pat Cummins wants all-rounders Mitchell Marsh and Cameron Green to bowl as much as possible in the Test series against India. Team India is scheduled to tour Australia in November. The Indian team will play a five-match Test series in Australia.
Pat Cummins said during a program, “It is beneficial to have an all-rounder in the team. In the last few years, we have not been able to use them as much as we thought. But something different can happen this summer season. We can give Green and Marsh a little more responsibility in bowling.”
The Australian captain further said, “A player like Green started as a bowler in Shield cricket, but he has not had to bowl much in Test matches. Now he has become more mature than before. I think we will depend on him a little more.”
Regarding Nathan Lyon, the Australian captain said, “We are really fortunate that we have a bowler like Nathan Lyon, from whom we can get many overs. In such a situation, it is not necessary that you have an all-rounder, but having a fifth bowling option makes a big difference. We have six bowling options in the form of Green and Marsh. This is a good thing, but in batting, the six top-order batsmen should make a place in the team on the basis of their batting only.”
