Budget 2024: The country’s budget has been presented and the government has presented the economic accounts for the entire financial year 2024-25. In the budget presented on Tuesday, the central government has given a big gift to the southern state of Andhra Pradesh. Bihar and Andhra Pradesh dominated the budget for the states from the government. Andhra Pradesh will be given financial assistance of Rs 15,000 crore in Budget 2024 and financial assistance of Rs 58,900 crore is being given to Bihar.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday said in the Assembly that the state government will present the budget after two months. Due to “financial constraints” in the state, it is not in a position to present the budget at the moment. Addressing the second meeting of the first session of the Assembly on July 23, the Chief Minister informed about the decision on the state budget and said that due to financial constraints we are not able to present the budget right now. We have decided to present it after two months. This is going to be the first budget of the new assembly after the formation of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP)-led government in the recent election results.
What did Andhra Pradesh get in the budget
On Tuesday, July 23, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman made a provision of Rs 15,000 crore for Andhra Pradesh in her budget speech. The Finance Minister announced a budgetary allocation of Rs 15,000 crore for the development of Andhra Pradesh’s capital Amaravati in the current financial year. Special financial assistance will be given through multi-level agencies and the central government will also provide additional funds in the future, understanding the need of the state capital.
