Stock Market Closing: There were fluctuations in the market today before and after the credit policy of RBI. In today’s session, steady trading was seen in the market. There was a lot of movement in the automobile sector and there was ups and downs in FMCG, oil and gas stocks also. If we look at the falling and rising shares, 1694 shares witnessed a rise and 1127 shares saw a decline.

BSE’s Sensex has fallen by 56.74 points and closed at the level of 81,709.12 and NSE’s Nifty has fallen by 30.60 points and closed at 24,677 today.
How was the condition of the sectoral index?
Immediately after the introduction of RBI’s credit policy, bank shares were seen on strength but by the time of market closing, they had slipped into the red. There was a rise in shares like Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank today but overall there was disappointment in banking shares. Bank, Financial Services, IT, Media, Pharma, Healthcare index and Realty sectors witnessed decline and were seen with weakness at the time of market closing.
What was the condition of Sensex shares?
14 out of 30 Sensex stocks closed with gains and Tata Motors, Axis Bank, Maruti Suzuki, L&T, ITC and Tata Steel were the top gainers. The number of falling Sensex stocks was 16 and these included Adani Ports, Bharti Airtel, Asian Paints, IndusInd Bank, Bajaj Finserv and Reliance Industries.
Know the market capitalization of BSE
If we look at the market capitalization of BSE, it has come to Rs 459.23 lakh crore. In this, trading was closed in 4088 shares, out of which 2399 shares closed on the rise while 1590 shares saw a decline. 410 shares closed on upper circuit while 191 shares closed on lower circuit.
