ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Schedule Deadline: The entire cricket world is waiting for when will ICC give its decision on Champions Trophy 2025? The International Cricket Council has to ensure that the schedule is sent to the cricket boards of all the participating countries 90 days before the start of the tournament. But amidst the conflict between India and Pakistan, a new update has come out that due to the delay in the schedule, the broadcasters of the Champions Trophy may have to suffer huge losses.
According to a report by Cricbuzz, the deadline for releasing the schedule has passed. Due to this, broadcasters Disney and Jio are in danger of facing huge losses. Since the schedule of the Champions Trophy has not been revealed yet, the broadcasters also seem to be completely unable to take advantage of this upcoming ICC tournament. ICC has not yet issued any statement on commercial issues, but it is certain that host Pakistan and especially the broadcasters are headed towards suffering losses due to this.
India-Pakistan in one group…
The same report revealed that broadcasters are opposing the decision to keep India and Pakistan in separate groups. But it also has to be kept in mind that by keeping both the countries in different groups, Pakistan can play all its matches in its own country, whereas the matches against India can be held in other countries. If both are kept in the same group, then such a situation will arise that one will have to bow before the other.
ICC is going to organize a meeting on 29th November, in which there is speculation that a big decision will be taken on the hybrid model. Since Pakistan is adamant on giving up hosting and not adopting the hybrid model, on the other hand India does not want to send its team to Pakistan under any circumstances. If PCB does not accept the hybrid model, then ICC may be forced to withdraw the hosting of the Champions Trophy from Pakistan. From that point of view also the meeting of 29th November is going to be important.
