Jasprit Bumrah Concedes Test Six After 3 Years: Boxing Day Test has started from 26th December. This is the fourth test match of Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. This is a very special test match of the five test match series being played between India and Australia. 19 year old player Sam Constas has got a chance in the Australian playing 11 in the fourth test match. This is the debut match of Constas. In his debut match itself, Constance broke the pride of Jasprit Bumrah and played an inning full of fours and sixes.
Bumrah’s great record shattered after 1112 days
In the Melbourne Test, Australia’s young opener Sam Constance broke a three-year-old record by performing courageously against Jasprit Bumrah. 19-year-old Constance played a reverse ramp shot against Indian fast bowler Bumrah and hit two fours and a six. The special thing is that Bumrah hit a six in Test cricket after 1,112 days and 4,483 balls. Earlier in 2021, Cameron Green had hit a six against him in Sydney. Sam Constas hit this amazing shot on the 23rd ball of his first innings, which created excitement in the audience.

Former captain Ricky Ponting, who was commentating, said jokingly, “Maybe Constance had decided that Bumrah had to play reverse shots only.” Constas’ aggressive style continued to challenge the Indian bowlers.
Constas targeted Indian bowlers
In the initial overs, Jasprit Bumrah troubled Constas and even hit the edge of his bat several times, but the young batsman showed fearlessness and sent Bumrah’s balls across the boundary. In the seventh over, he put pressure on the Indian bowling attack by hitting two consecutive fours. Due to Constance’s aggressive innings, Rohit Sharma had to hand the ball to Ravindra Jadeja and this plan proved effective. Jadeja dismissed Constas on the second ball of the 19th over by trapping him in spin. Sam Constance scored 60 runs in 65 balls at a strike rate of 92.20 in the first innings of his debut Test, which included 6 fours and 2 sixes.
