India won the series 2-1 in Australia in 2019 and 2021, which has completely changed this rivalry. According to Kohli, after these historic victories, Australia now recognizes India as a serious rival in Test cricket.
Kohli said, “Earlier this match used to be very intense and stressful. But we have won the Test series in Australia twice in a row, after which this rivalry has turned into respect. Now we are not taken lightly, and this respect is given to everyone. Visible in the match.”
