Rohit trapped on Padikkal’s ball
A video is going viral on social media in which Rohit Sharma is seen struggling during net practice. The interesting thing is that this video is of Devdutt Padikkal’s bowling. Padikkal is primarily a batsman and has not taken any wicket in any competitive match yet. In such a situation, Padikkal trapped Rohit on the backfoot with his off-spin bowling. The ball remained low and it seemed that Rohit was out LBW.

Test form became a matter of concern
Rohit’s performance in this series has been very poor. So far he has scored only 3, 6 and 10 runs in three innings. Rohit’s bat has remained silent even in the last few months of 2024. He has scored only 153 runs in 13 innings this year. His poor form, which started against Bangladesh and New Zealand in the home series, continues on Australian pitches as well. Even though the Indian team is in a strong position in the series and is moving towards the World Test Championship 2025 final, captain Rohit’s form has not been able to contribute much in this journey.
