BGT 2024-25 3 Indian Players Play Vijay Hazare Trophy: A five-Test series is being played between India and Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. The first test match of this series was played from 22 to 25 November 2024. The last Test match of this series is to be played from 3 January 2025 to 7 January 2025, for which along with the 17 member players, three traveling reserve players also went on this tour. These include Yash Dayal, Mukesh Kumar and Navdeep Saini. Now these three players have been released in the middle of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. These three fast bowlers will now get a chance to play in the Vijay Hazare Trophy starting from December 21.
Journey from Test team to Vijay Hazare Trophy
Yash Dayal, Mukesh Kumar and Navdeep Saini were with the Indian team since the beginning of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. But the team management decided that now these players should be given a chance to play matches in domestic cricket so that they can maintain their rhythm and fitness on the field. Team India will now play the last two Tests in Melbourne and Sydney after Brisbane, after which the players will return to India.
Yash Dayal will play for Uttar Pradesh
Yash Dayal was included in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy team in place of Khalil Ahmed. Khalil was not completely fit during the net session, due to which Yash was called. Now Yash will try to improve his performance in the Vijay Hazare Trophy for Uttar Pradesh.
Mukesh Kumar will play for Bengal
This tour has been very long and challenging for Mukesh Kumar. Before the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, he went on Australia tour with India A team. Now he has to participate in the Vijay Hazare Trophy for the team of his home state Bengal.
Navdeep Saini will play for Delhi
Navdeep Saini played only one match for India A on this tour and since then has been bowling in the team’s nets. On the first day of the Brisbane Test, he watched the game from the stands, but now he will prepare to play for the Delhi team.
