Bird Flu

The CDC says that so far there have been 66 cases of H5N1 virus in humans in the US. Bird flu is also called avian influenza. This is a viral infection, which also spreads in birds, cows and many wild animals. In some places, cases of spread among humans have also been found.

Rabbit fever is also continuously increasing in America. According to CDC, its cases have increased by more than 50% in the last decade. Rabbit fever is also called tularemia. This is a zoonotic disease, which comes to humans from rabbits and other animals. This disease can be very serious. In this, symptoms like fever, fatigue and wounds on the skin are seen. This infection in humans can occur through direct contact with infected animals. There is a risk of getting infected by their bite or by eating infected meat or by coming in contact with infected soil and water. If rabbit fever is not treated on time, it can become fatal in 60% of the cases. Its risk is most seen in children aged 5-9 years, elderly people and tribal people.

According to Fortune magazine, Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) and Norovirus are also wreaking havoc in America. The cases of this disease are increasing rapidly during the winter season. RSV is a common virus, which easily affects children, the elderly and those with weak immunity. This can cause serious respiratory infection.
Apart from this, norovirus is also spreading rapidly. It is also called stomach virus. Due to this the digestion system gets affected. Vomiting and diarrhea start occurring. The risk is higher in schools and hospitals and the possibility of its spread is also higher.
