Bhuvneshwar Kumar RCB IPL 2025: Bhuvneshwar Kumar has joined Royal Challengers Bangalore. RCB bought Bhuvi on the second day of IPL 2025 mega auction at a price many times more than the base price. Bhuvaneshwar sold for Rs 10.75 crore. He is a lethal fast bowler and has performed brilliantly on many occasions. Bhuvneshwar had earlier been a part of Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Mumbai Indians made the first bid on Bhuvneshwar Kumar. After this Lucknow Super Giants also joined it. Mumbai made the last bid of Rs 10.25 crore. Whereas Lucknow made the last bid of Rs 10.50 crore. But RCB won in the end. RCB bought Bhuvneshwar for Rs 10.75 crore. RCB’s bowling unit will become much stronger because of Bhuvi.
Bhuvneshwar took a huge leap in terms of salary –
Bhuvi was earlier a part of Sunrisers Hyderabad. Till now he had played for Hyderabad only in every season. Hyderabad was paying him Rs 4.20 crore as salary in 2024. But now his salary has more than doubled. Bhubaneswar will now get Rs 10.75 crore.
Bhuvi’s record so far has been like this –
Bhuvneshwar has played 176 matches in IPL so far. He has taken 181 wickets during this period. Bhuvi’s best performance in a match has been taking 5 wickets for 19 runs. Bhuvneshwar has also taken five or more wickets in a match twice. Bhuvi has played 87 T20 matches for Team India. He has taken 90 wickets during this period.
RCB also spent money on these players –
RCB spent a lot of money on Josh Hazlewood. Hazlewood has been sold for Rs 12.50 crore. His base price was Rs 2 crore. The base price of Jitesh Sharma was Rs 1 crore. But RCB bought him for Rs 11 crore. Jitesh is a wicketkeeper batsman. Philip Salt is also a wicketkeeper batsman. RCB bought him for Rs 11.50 crore. RCB bought Liam Livingstone for Rs 8.75 crore.
