Jay Shah Announces IPL Salary Increase: BCCI Secretary Jai Shah has made a big announcement regarding the salaries of players in IPL. Jay Shah said that in addition to the contract amount signed with any team, the players playing in the Indian Premier League will be paid a separate amount of Rs 7.5 lakh for playing each match.
Giving information through social media, Jay Shah said, “A historic decision is being taken to celebrate the continued excellent performance in the Indian Premier League. We are very happy to inform that our cricketers will be given uniforms for each match. If a player plays all the matches in the entire season, he can earn Rs 1.05 crore more than the contract.
Jay Shah further said in his statement that each franchise will allocate Rs 12.60 crore to pay match fees for the entire season. This is the beginning of a new era for the IPL and our players.

There is speculation that very big decisions will be taken in the annual meeting of BCCI. Recall that in July, BCCI officials had held a meeting with IPL team owners. In that meeting, many team owners had raised questions regarding the retention policy and team purse.
