IPL 2025 Retention Rules: Today BCCI can release the IPL retention policy rules. After this, the BCCI decided that the IPL retention policy rules will be released in the last days of September. The BCCI’s annual meeting is proposed on 29 September. But today the BCCI will release the IPL retention policy rules. At the same time, the IPL auction 2025 will be held in November or December. It is believed that IPL teams will be able to retain a total of 5 players. In which there will be 3 Indian players, while 2 foreign players will be included.
What is BCCI’s stand on uncapped players and RTM?
However, it is not clear yet what will be the rules for uncapped players, but it is believed that there will be 2 uncapped players among the retained players. According to media reports, BCCI has not been able to take a final decision on RTM, but it is believed that if teams are allowed to retain 4-5 players, then the return of RTM is not possible. Earlier, RTM was last in IPL auction 2018, but after that RTM was removed. However, BCCI can take a big decision on RTM soon.
