Ruturaj Gaikwad India A Captain: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the 15-member India A team going on Australia tour. Two first class matches will be played between India-A and Australia-A. The command of India-A has been handed over to Ruturaj Gaikwad for this series of first class matches. The thing to note is that India-A will also play a match against the senior men’s Indian team on this tour, which will be an intra-squad match.
The two first class matches to be played between India-A and Australia-A will start from October 31. The first match will be played till 03 November. Apart from this, the second match of the series will be held between 07 to 10 November. The first match will be played in Macau and the second in Melbourne. After playing two matches against Australia-A, the India-A team will play a three-day intra-squad match against the Indian senior men’s team in Perth from November 15.
Wicketkeeper batsman Ishan Kishan, who has been out of Team India for some time, has also been included for the India A tour. Apart from this, Abhimanyu Easwaran has been made Gaikwad’s deputy i.e. the vice-captain of the team. Apart from this, many more star players have been given a chance in the team.

Border-Gavaskar Trophy will start from 22nd November
The Border-Gavaskar Trophy to be played in Australia will start a few days after the end of India’s Australia tour. This time the teams of India and Australia will play a total of 5 test matches in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The first Test of the series will be played in Perth from 22 November. The last match of the series will be played in Sydney between 03 to 07 January (2025).
