In a conversation with News 18 Shosha, Barun Sobti revealed that he has got projects where the team really wanted him. The actor said, “I have not kissed anyone on-screen. However, I have rarely had to reject work for this reason. I’ve been very, very lucky because the people who wanted to cast me really wanted me, and they were willing to agree to what scenes were removed from the script. Maybe he saw my skill and thought which part of the story was not very relevant. If I have rejected something, it was mainly because I felt the script was not very good.

Barun also clearly told that from time to time projects kept coming to him, where kissing scenes seemed necessary for the story. In those situations, he has always felt that the mature thing to do is to politely take the script forward rather than asking for changes. He said, “Sometimes, the sexual dynamics between two characters are very important to the script. In such cases, there is no point in requesting them not to keep the kiss scene. So, at that time, I told them that I was not available. I give such scripts a chance only when I know we can do without the kissing scene.”
