Apart from this, banks will remain closed across the country on 15th August due to Independence Day. Due to the festival falling in August, banks will remain closed for 14 days this month. This includes two Saturdays and four Sundays.

- 3 August – There will be a holiday in Agartala due to Ker Puja
- 4th August – Banks will remain closed across the country due to Sunday
- 7 August – There will be a holiday in Haryana due to Hariyali Teej
- 8 August – Holiday in Gangtok due to Tendong Lo Rum Fat
- 10th August – second Saturday will be a holiday across the country
- 11 August – There will be a holiday across the country due to Sunday
- 13 August – Holiday in Imphal on account of Patriot Day
- 15th August – There will be a holiday all over the country on account of Independence Day
- 18 August – Banks will remain closed across the country due to Sunday
- 19 August – Due to the festival of Rakshabandhan, there will be a holiday in many places including Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Kanpur, Lucknow
- August 20 – Holiday in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram on account of Sree Narayana Guru Jayanti
- 24 August – Fourth Saturday is a holiday across the country
- 25 August – Banks will remain closed across the country due to Sunday
- 26 August – There will be a holiday across the country due to Shri Krishna Janmashtami
