The sourness in relations between India and Bangladesh has now started increasing. On one hand, the interim government of Bangladesh canceled the already approved Bandwidth Transit Agreement. On the other hand, it is considering sources other than India for import of potatoes and onions. If the situation between India and Bangladesh continues to deteriorate like this and India stops exporting some things to Bangladesh, then many things will disappear from the plates of people in Bangladesh.
won’t get bread
If the situation between India and Bangladesh becomes so bad in future that import and export between the two countries stops, then it will have the biggest impact on wheat. Actually, Bangladesh imports a lot of wheat from India every year. Talking about the year 2021-22, the value of wheat exported from India to Bangladesh this year was 119.16 crore dollars. At the same time, this figure of wheat export in 2020-21 was 310.3 million dollars. That means, if India stops supplying wheat to Bangladesh, bread will disappear from the plates of the people there.
Rice will also disappear
Apart from wheat, the people of Bangladesh will also yearn for rice. In fact, the third largest item exported from India to Bangladesh is rice. In the year 2021-22, a total of rice worth $613.9 million was exported to Bangladesh. That means, if the situation between India and Bangladesh worsens, it will also affect the rice in the plates of the people there.
Bangladesh will crave for sweets
Like wheat and rice, India also supplies sugar to Bangladesh. Let us tell you, in the year 2021-22, China exported about 565.9 million dollars from India to Bangladesh. At the same time, in 2020-21 this figure was 74.7 million dollars. It is clear from this that if India stops sending sugar to Bangladesh then the people there will not get sweets. Along with this, you will also have to drink pale milk. Apart from this, fruits, vegetables, spices, cotton, oil meals and other processed items are also exported from India to Bangladesh.
