Bangladesh vs Pakistan Test Series 2024: The government in Bangladesh has been overthrown and the protests against reservation are not subsiding. Meanwhile, there are question marks on the Bangladesh cricket team’s tour of Pakistan. The two-Test match series between the two countries is scheduled to begin on August 21, but now a new update has emerged that the Bangladesh team is going to leave for Pakistan as per the scheduled time.
Bangladesh team will go to Pakistan beforehand
An old report of Cricbuzz stated that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had proposed that the Bangladeshi players stay for more days than the scheduled time. Now it is being said that the Bangladesh team will leave for Pakistan on August 12 itself. Earlier the team was to leave on August 17. On the other hand, the foreign coaching staff of Bangladesh will not be able to be a part of the practice session at present because their country’s embassy has banned air travel due to the ongoing protests in Bangladesh.
A source in the Bangladesh Cricket Board said, “We cannot force the coaching staff to come here due to the ban on air travel. The situation is so bad that many police stations in the city are currently completely closed. We are considering taking the team to Pakistan soon.” Let us tell you that from August 12 till the end of the tour, all facilities including practice, accommodation will be made available to the Bangladesh cricket team in Pakistan.
2 test matches will be played in the series
The 2 Test match series between Bangladesh and Pakistan will start on 21 August. The first Test match is to be played from 21-25 August, while the second match will be played from 30 August to 3 September. Let us tell you that this will be the first big series of the Pakistan team after being out of the T20 World Cup 2024.
