Babar Azam PAK vs ENG 2nd Test: Babar Azam is continuously facing poor form in international cricket. Recently Babar had to lose the captaincy due to poor form. He was the white ball captain of Pakistan, but due to poor form he resigned from the captaincy. Now after captaincy, Babar seems to be leaving the team too. In the first Test played against England in Multan, only 30 and 05 runs were scored with Babar’s bat.
A report published on ESPNcricinfo said that Babar could be dropped from the second match of the three-match Test series being played against England. It was told in the report that the newly formed selection committee advised to drop Babar. A few hours after losing the first test of the series, the selection committee meeting was held in Lahore. Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi was also present in the meeting.
After the defeat in the first Test of the series played in Multan between 07 to 11 October, Pakistan captain Shan Masood had backed Babar and said that he is the best batsman of Pakistan. Coach Jason Gillespie also supported this. It was also mentioned in the report that the team captain and head coach were not involved in the meeting.
If Babar is not included in the playing eleven of the second Test to be played in Multan from October 15, then the question is also arising whether he will make himself available for the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy starting from October 20 or not. . Babar has not played any first class match since 2019.
