Australia: These days a three-match test series is being played between India and New Zealand. Two matches of the series being played in India have been completed, in which New Zealand has won and won the series. New Zealand achieved a big feat by winning this series. In fact, through this series, Team India’s series of consecutive Test series wins on home soil ended.
Team India won 18 consecutive Test series on home soil and lost the 19th series against New Zealand in 2024. But Team India, which has not suffered defeat in 18 consecutive home Test series, is at second position in the list. Australia team is at number one in the list.
The Australian team had not suffered defeat in 28 consecutive home Test series. Although Australia had won 25 out of 28 series, while the remaining 3 series ended in a draw. Team India won all 18 series.
Australia maintained its dominance of not losing in home Test series from 1993 to 2009. Whereas Team India dominated by not losing in the home Test series from 2012 to 2024.
This is how New Zealand ended Team India’s dominance
In the first match of the three-match Test series played in Bengaluru, Bengaluru had won against India by 8 wickets. With this victory, New Zealand had registered a Test win against Team India on Indian soil after 36 years.
The Kiwi team did not stop here in breaking records, then New Zealand defeated Team India by 113 runs in the second test and after 12 years became the team which won the test series against India on Indian soil. Now the third and last match of the Test series between India and New Zealand will be played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai from Friday, November 1.
