Australia A vs India A 2nd unofficial Test: Before India’s tour of Australia, a series of two unofficial test matches was played between the A teams of the two countries. In the second unofficial test played in Melbourne from 7 November, the Kangaroos defeated Team India by 6 wickets. With this, Australia’s A team captured the series 2-0.
India A had scored only 161 runs in its first innings after playing first. Wicketkeeper batsman Dhruv Jurel scored the highest score of 80 runs for the team. KL Rahul 04, Sai Sudarshan 00 and captain Ruturaj Gaikwad could score only 04 runs. For Australia A, Michael Neser took 4 wickets and Beau Webster took 3 wickets.
After this the Australian team scored 223 runs in its first innings. Opener Marcus Harris played an inning of 74 runs for Australia. For India, the famous Krishna took 4 wickets and Mukesh Kumar took 3 wickets. Also Khalil Ahmed got two successes.
After falling behind in the first innings, India A team failed to score a big score in the second innings also. Wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel scored a half-century in the second innings also. He scored 68 runs, but KL Rahul flopped again. This time the Indian team scored 229 runs.
Chasing the modest target of 169 runs, the Australian team lost only four wickets and registered victory. Sam Kontas scored the most runs in the second innings. He played a match-winning inning of 73 unbeaten runs. Beau Webster also returned unbeaten on 46 runs.
India tour of Australia from 22nd November
Team India will play the first test match in Perth from 22nd November. After this, the second test match will be played in Adelaide from 6th December. The third Test will be played in Brisbane from 14 December, the fourth Test match will be played in Melbourne from 26 December and the fifth and final Test match will be played in Sydney from 3 January.
