ACC Chairman Jay Shah Announces Women Under-19 Asia Cup: The current BCCI secretary Jay Shah is going to take over as the chairman of the ICC from December 1 this year. He is also the chairman of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). Shah has now taken a big decision to promote women’s cricket. Under the chairmanship of Jay Shah, the ACC has announced the Women’s Under-19 T20 Asia Cup. Jai Shah led the Asian Cricket Council meeting. He will take over as ICC chairman from December 1, but with this he will have to leave the post of ACC President. But before leaving the post of President, Jai Shah has taken a big step for women’s cricket. Last year, the Women’s T20 World Cup was organized for the first time at the Under-19 level and now the announcement of the Under-19 Asia Cup is going to make cricket fans happy.
When can the Asia Cup happen?
ACC may organize the first Women’s T20 Asia Cup in history in December this year. Shortly after that, the Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup is to be played, which will be held in Malaysia. Although there is no clarity about the number of teams and the host of the tournament, but it is certain that the level of competition in Asian cricket is going to increase with the arrival of this tournament.
