Asha Paresh spoke about the incident during an interview with Arbaaz Khan and said, “It’s a long story. We were shooting in Mahabaleshwar and I don’t know what Om Prakash ji thought when he said, ‘They are married.’ Then there was a part at Janaab Nasir Hussain’s place. Everyone was talking and everyone started whispering, ‘They are married.’ Devyani ji (famous journalist) was also there. She heard it and asked, ‘Are you married?’
The veteran actress had further said, “Shammi ji asked me not to say anything. I told him it was okay. He was playing a prank. My father left. Everyone saw him and asked why I left. Then he said that my mother was in shock so I went home. At that time he (Shammi Kapoor) was having an affair with someone. She was also very upset.
