Artificial Intelligence Courses: The popularity of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has increased rapidly across the world including India. Now AI related courses are being taught in big institutions of the country and the world. The scope of study of AI in India has increased rapidly. In fact, statistics show that in 2024-25, approximately 8 lakh school children have enrolled for AI courses at the secondary level. In which the students of 9th and 10th class are the maximum. Minister of State for Education Jayant gave this information in the Lok Sabha on Monday.
What did Jayat Choudhary say in Lok Sabha?
Jayant Chaudhary said that 7,90,999 school students from 4,538 schools have enrolled for AI course at the secondary level. Which includes 50,343 students of class 11th and 12th. He said that after the new education policy 2020, a big change is being seen in the education sector. Since then, continuous work is being done to improve the skills of the students. This has been proved by the huge number of school children enrolled for the AI course. Earlier, Gujarat MP Rajeshbhai Chudasama had asked a question about the course on Artificial Intelligence.

In response to Rajeshbhai Chudasama’s question, Jayant Chaudhary said that 7,90,999 school students from 4,538 schools have enrolled for AI course at the secondary level. Which includes 50,343 students of class 11th and 12th. He also said that CBSE Board had started Artificial Intelligence course in the respective schools in 2019, so that readiness can be developed to understand and appreciate its application.
