The film is the story of ‘Arvind’, who is struggling with his wife falling seriously ill after 35 years of marriage. Anupam has faced a similar situation in his personal life also.
Actually, the actor’s wife Kirron Kher has fought a battle with cancer. While talking about this, Anupam Kher said that how he had taken the help of personal experience to do his character in a better way. During this, the actor also told why he got his wife treated in India instead of abroad?

Speaking to India Today Digital, Anupam Kher told how some scenes of the film speak to the depth of his soul. However, like a professional, Anupam decided to incorporate those emotions into his performance instead of letting them overwhelm him. The actor said, “During the shooting of this film, there were certain scenes that I acted which I identified with on a personal level. My wife Kiran was unwell and was undergoing cancer treatment, so bringing those emotions on celluloid “It came from that experience. I think it’s the situational consequences of my personal life that helped me play this role well.”
Get cancer treatment in the country instead of abroad
Anupam further emphasized that instead of getting treatment abroad, one should get treatment in one’s own country. The actor said, “We have some amazing doctors in our country and just as Mahima advised Hina Khan to get treatment in our country, I also strongly advocate it. This is also because I remember meeting Rishi Kapoor then. When he was unwell, Chintu ji was in America and when we met, he told how difficult it was for him to get treatment away from his home and other family members.
Anil Ambani played an important role in Kirron Kher’s treatment.
According to Anupam, Kiran had initially gone abroad for her treatment. However, it was Anil Ambani who stepped forward to extend his support and bring him home. Expressing his gratitude, Anupam said, “Mr. Anil Ambani also sent his plane to bring Kiran back and got her treated right here in India. This is something that I appreciate a lot because he is very kind.”
