According to a report, Amul has now become the world’s strongest food brand. It has been given AAA+ rating in a report by Brand Finance. The brand value of the company has also increased to $3.3 billion. The company has overtaken Hershey’s, which was number one in the list last year.
Amul became the number one company in Brand Finance report
The history of Amul is about 70 years old. According to Brand Finance’s Global Food & Drinks Report 2024, Amul has now become the strongest food brand in the world. Its score on the Brand Strength Index is 91 out of 100. Along with this, the company has also got AAA+ rating. As compared to the year 2023, the brand value of Amul has also increased by 11 percent to $3.3 billion this year. However, brand value has nothing to do with the turnover of the company. In the financial year 2022-23, Amul’s sales increased by 18.5 percent to Rs 72,000 crore.
Amul is the uncrowned king of India’s dairy market
In the Brand Finance report, Amul has been given AAA+ rating along with Hershey’s. However, the brand value of Hershey’s has fallen by 0.5 percent to $3.9 billion. Therefore, it has had to settle for the second position in this year’s list. Amul is the uncrowned king of India’s dairy market. Its share in the milk market is 75 percent, in the butter market it is 85 percent and in the cheese market it is 66 percent.

Nestle is the world’s most valuable food brand
In this list, Nestlé has been declared the world’s most valuable food brand. Its market value has decreased by 7 percent compared to last year to $20.8 billion. Lay’s has been placed second in the list with a valuation of $12 billion. In the non-alcoholic beverage sector, Coca-Cola is number one and Pepsi is second.
