US Ban on Chinese Drone: India had banned the import of drones from China in November 2022. Due to this, China’s SZ DJI Technology, the world’s largest drone manufacturing company, suffered a major setback. Now America can also follow India’s footsteps and ban Chinese drone companies. If this happens, it will be the second biggest Chinese company after TikTok, on which America will also ban after India. On one hand, TikTok’s parent company ByteDance is fighting a legal battle to maintain its existence in America. Now if America bans SZ DJI technology, it will be no less than a shock for China.
TikTok ban almost certain in America
ByteDance has filed a lawsuit against the US federal government. China says that the law made against TikTok is unconstitutional because it is used by 170 million Americans and the ban will affect their free speech.
However, the US Federal Court rejected these allegations saying that no US law prevents ‘free speech’ in any way. Trump’s swearing-in ceremony will take place on January 20, 2025. Before this, the court has asked ByteDance to sell its stake by January 19, otherwise the app will be banned. Here it is believed that China has no plans to sell it at present. In such a situation, the ban on TikTok is considered almost certain.
Now Chinese drones are under investigation
A new report by Reuters has claimed that a military bill is ready to be passed in the US Parliament, under which Chinese drone manufacturing companies DJI and Autel Robotics can be banned.
Under this law, it was said that the US government will have to investigate the drones of these companies within a year to find out whether they are dangerous for the country’s security and if the investigation is not completed within the stipulated time. If so then they will be banned.
