However, in a new interview, Akshay has revealed that there are no similarities between him and his wife Twinkle.
Akshay and Twinkle are completely different from each other
Akshay Kumar is currently busy promoting his upcoming film ‘Khel Khel Mein’. Amidst all this, the actor recently spoke about his relationship with his wife and writer Twinkle Khanna in an interview given to Galata India. During this, Akshay said that Twinkle and he think differently and are completely different from each other. Khiladi Kumar said, “My wife and I are very different. We are completely different. She thinks left, I think right.”
What is common between Akshay and Twinkle
Akshay said that the only common thing between them is that they sleep early and wake up early in the morning or play games. But despite having nothing in common, they have a lot of respect for each other. In fact, Akshay said, “The only thing we have in common is that we both like to sleep early and wake up early. Another thing we like is playing rummy or ludo. There is nothing else common between us. But, it is not just this. Respect is the most important thing. It is important to give space to each other. People have 36 qualities, not all of them are the same in a couple, but if you have the quality of respecting each other, then I think it is equal to all the qualities you need in a relationship.”
Akshay and Twinkle have different approaches to some things
In the same conversation, Akshay revealed how he and Twinkle have different points of view on certain things. He said, “I believe people should keep quiet. They should not comment on everything. Words can hurt you a lot. A word can hurt you more than a punch. The tongue can spoil relationships. It can create war. You need to be very careful about what you say. People call me diplomatic, well, I am diplomatic because I measure my words before saying them to someone.”
The Sarfira actor said that he often knows many things but does not say anything about them. However, Twinkle does not follow that approach. He gave an example and said that if his wife Twinkle does not like a film that he has seen, she will openly tell the producer that it is not good. But even after knowing that she is right, he tries to stop her as it may hurt someone.

Akshay Kumar married Twinkle Khanna in 2001 after dating for a few years. His son Aarav was born in 2002 and daughter Nitara was born in 2012. Talking about the work front, Akshay was last seen in the film Sarfira. This film flopped at the box office. Now Akshay is promoting his upcoming film Khel Khel Mein. In this film, he will be seen with many actors like Amy Virk, Fardeen Khan, Vaani Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu. He also has Sky Force, Singham Again, Jolly LLB 3 and Welcome to the Jungle in his kitty.
