Virat Kohli Gifts Bat Akashdeep: Before the start of the first Test match between India and Bangladesh, a post by Akashdeep went viral. Actually, Virat Kohli gifted his bat to the young Indian fast bowler and Akashdeep expressed his respect for ‘King Kohli’ through social media. Now Akash has told that he did not ask for the bat but Kohli himself came and asked him about it.
According to Times of India, Akashdeep said, “Virat bhai himself gave me the bat. He must have seen something special in my batting. I did not ask for the bat myself, rather he came to me and asked, ‘Do you want the bat?’ Who would not want to receive a bat as a gift from Virat bhai. He is a great player. I was very happy to hear his words. He asked me which bat I use for batting. I just laughed because I had no words to say. He said, ‘Take it, keep this bat.'”
Akashdeep will not play with Virat’s bat
Akashdeep told that he will never play with the bat gifted by Virat Kohli because it is a very big gift from Virat. He is going to hang it on his wall as a good memory. Virat even gave his autograph on the bat.
Let us remind you that in the first innings of the first Test match against Bangladesh, Akashdeep scored 17 runs in 30 balls. In this short innings, he hit four fours as if a top order batsman was playing. He also took 2 wickets in bowling.
