Nuwan Thushara Injury: A three-match T20 series will be played between India and Sri Lanka from 27 July, Saturday. Before this series, Sri Lanka suffered two major setbacks. First, the team’s star fast bowler Dushmantha Chameera was ruled out. Now the other fast bowler Nuwan Tushara is also out. Tushara got injured during practice, due to which he also had to be ruled out. Team manager Mahinda Halangoda gave information about Nuwan’s injury.
The team manager told ESPNcricinfo that Nuwan Tushara has suffered an injury to his left thumb. Although he bowls right-handed, the injury was so serious that he had to be dropped from the team. The team manager said that Nuwan Tushara was injured during fielding practice on Wednesday night. Sri Lanka has included Asitha Fernando in the team in place of Dushmantha Chameera who was dropped earlier.

Sri Lanka Cricket Board also informed about Nuwan’s injury on social media, in which it was told that he injured his left thumb during fielding practice. The medical report said that his thumb is fractured. Let us tell you that both the bowlers are out of the T20 series. Dilshan Madushanka has been made a part of the squad in place of Tushara.
ODI series will be played after T20
It is worth noting that after the T20, a three-match ODI series will also be played between India and Sri Lanka. First there will be the T20 series, which will start from July 27. The last match of the T20 series will be played on July 30. All three matches of the T20 series will be played at the Pallekele International Stadium in Pallekele.
Then the three-match ODI series will start from August 2. The second match of the ODI series will be played on August 4, Sunday and then the last match of the series will be played on August 7, Wednesday. All three matches of the ODI series will be played at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
