Adani Group News Update: Adani Green Energy has issued a statement terming as false the reports that the company’s directors Gautam Adani, Sagar Adani and Vineet Jain have been charged under the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). The company said, such statements are completely wrong. According to Adani Green Energy, Gautam Adani, Sagar Adani and Vineet Jain have not been charged with any violations of the FCPA in the matters set forth in the US DOJ indictment or the US SEC civil complaint. Adani Green Energy has given this information in the regulatory filing filed with the stock on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.
Gautam Adani is not accused of bribery
Adani Group said that Gautam Adani, his nephew Sagar Adani and Vineet Jain have not been charged with any bribery as per the Foreign Corruption Practices Act indictment of the Department of Justice in the US. Only officials of Azure and CDPQ have been accused of bribery. According to Adani Green Energy, news reports accusing Adani Group officials of bribery and corruption are completely false.
Not accused of violating FCPA
In its filing, Adani Green Energy has termed the reporting done by different media houses on allegations of bribery and corruption against Adani Group executives as wrong. According to the company, media articles state that some of our directors Gautam Adani, Sagar Adani and Vineet Jain have been accused of violating the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). This is completely wrong. According to Adani Green Energy, Gautam Adani Sagar Adani and Vineet Jain have not been charged with any violations of the FCPA in the matters set forth in the US DOJ indictment or the US SEC civil complaint.
