Aamir Khan 3 Films Rejected by Abhishek Bachchan: It is common for Bollywood stars to reject films and then do those films. But many times the stars are overwhelmed to reject films. Abhishek Bachchan also rejected three films which were later shone by Aamir Khan and the fate of Mr. Perfectionist shone. All three films were blockbusters at the box office.

Aamir Khan’s rent was earlier offered to Abhishek
The first film that Abhishek had rejected was the rent. According to media reports, Ashutosh Gowariker’s pre -independence sports drama was first offered to Abhishek Bachchan, but he turned down the film. After Junior Bachchan refused, Ashutosh went to Aamir, and he decided not only to play the lead role but also to co-produce the film. Lagaan became an iconic hit after its release. It even got nomination as the best foreign language film in the 74th Academy Awards.

Aamri Khan’s hit Dil Chahta Hai Abhishek also turned down
The second film which Abhishek Bachchan rejected was Dil Chahta Hai, the first directed by Farhan Akhtar. Allegedly, Abhishek was also offered the film. But he turned down it and Aamir Khan included another iconic film in his filmography.

Abhishek also refused to Rang De Basanti Thi
The third film that Abhishek rejected was Rang De Basanti. This film is also included in Aamir’s blockbuster films. Abhishek himself confessed why he rejected the 2006 blockbuster film and said that he could not understand the shift storyline in two time zones. The actor convicted director Rakesh Omprakash Mehra for this confusion.

What did Abhishek Bachchan say for not paying rent?
In an interview to Etimes, Abhishek spoke on his decision to reject Lagaan and said that he was sure that he was not good for this role. He said, “I was very raw and young to do epic films like Lagaan. Of course, I knew it was going to be very big. But I was not ready to be a part of it. I am happy that Aamir did Lagaan. He brought a lot of magic and credibility in this project. Every film and role have their own destiny.”
