My melbourne review: After a long time, a film has come in which there are four films, this two -hour film has four different stories. Every story is about half an hour and goes away by saying something, it goes and feels. These four stories do not meet each other in end, because this is not a typical Bollywood film. This is a different type of cinema, which tries to say something very comfortably, but should you want to hear it, must be heard because if you do not listen, then such cinema will not be made.
Story
The first story in this film is Nandini, a person named Indranil, who belongs to India and LGBT, lives with her partner in Melbourne. Years later, his father comes to meet him, with his mother’s bones. Will the father be able to adopt his son’s choice? This is seen in this story. The second story is Jules, who is the story of a girl Sakshi and a homeless woman working in a restaurant, how there is friendship between the two, this is seen in this story.
The third story is EMMA which is the story of a dancer which is not heard properly and due to this he is discriminated against. Then how does she fulfill her dream. The fourth story is Setara which is the story of a 15 -year -old Afghan Refugee, who wants to forget the wounds of the past and start a new life through cricket. But why does his mother not want this?
How is the film?
This is a different kind of film, it is not for everyone. But those for those who have their heart will definitely touch. Such films are less, because the audience of such films is less. Today, the audience takes the shortcomings in the content, but then it also watches a bad film like Nadaniya because he has to troll him. Here, many things like loving yourself through these four stories, forgiving others, expressing trust in yourself have been explained with great love. Every story in the film ends in half an hour, so things change quickly. There are no stinging things, there is no useless action, there are emotions and such that if you understand them, you will like this film.
Direction
The story called EMMA has been directed by Reema Das, Nandin has been directed by Onir, Jules by Imtiaz Ali and Setara by Kabir Khan. The mood of the four stories is different, but all four go by saying something. The direction is good and you connect to the stories. In the last story, a spice also comes due to cricket but with emotion.
Overall, such films should be made and if they should be seen, then the theater will go.
